Mount Nebo State School
Mount Nebo State School is a co-educational primary school that offers exceptional education to students in the larger Mount Nebo community. Situated 464m above sea level, the school provides educational services to the surrounding regions of Mount Nebo, Mount Glorious, Jolly’s Lookout, and the suburbs encompassing The Gap and Samford. From its humble beginnings in 1931 as a one-teacher school, it has expanded to feature two classrooms, a tennis court, After School Care, a library, a multimedia room, and numerous outdoor learning spaces.
At present, the school has an enrolment of 39 students who are organized into two multi-age classes. The Prep-2 class comprises 18 students with a full-time Teacher-Aide, while the 3-6 class has 17 students and benefits from Teacher-Aide assistance for a significant portion of each day. The school maintains a high child-to-adult ratio, which enables successful and personalized learning experiences.
